Overview of Events
On Friday evening, Sally Fallon Morell (President of the Weston A. Price Foundation) will be speaking about the work of Dr. Price and comparing the health of people living in remote areas, eating traditional diets, to their relatives living in areas with access to modern processed food.
On Saturday morning in keynote tent A, Sally will present a seminar on raw milk, followed by a session on “Why Baby Teeth are Important” brought by Dr. Pentti J. Nupponen. After lunch, Sally will be back sharing the principles of a healthy diet, followed by a Panel Discussion on milking goats, sheep, water buffalo and camels.
Join us in Keynote Tent B to hear a panel discussion on farm safety, then two sessions by Lois Douglas on extensive burn care and treatment. The last session at 2:50 we will have Dan Russo from “GMO” Free PA.
We have scheduled various milk processing demonstrations by local homemakers and cheesemakers. After lunch, learn about traditional baking and join in on a discussion on feeding the family!
Come to learn about seed saving by Tim Mountz, followed by Homer Walden and Dru Peters (with low tech solutions) about integrated animal and vegetable production. Lastly, Ashley Turner will share her knowledge on food fermentation.
A panel discussion is planned on brooding turkeys, then Eli Reiff will demonstrate turkey processing and curing. In the afternoon, David and Donna Hirsh talk about the joy of milking a family cow. The last session is on cultivating mushrooms.
Human Health and Nutrition Tent:
To learn more about health, join us here, where Kevin Turner presents two sessions on finding true healthcare with proper nutrition and digestive health. After lunch Tanya Bucci will talk on preventing and healing intestinal parasites. The last session is by Kristen Gonzalez, who will share her experience as the mother of an autistic child and how our diets effect how we feel and behave.
New for this year is a tent dedicated to beekeeping. Join Benuel Stoltzfus, Lamar Wenger, and Sergi Taranovich throughout the day for discussions featuring all you need to know about getting started with your own hives and keeping them healthy and thriving. The last session will be a Q&A for the Bee Panel.
Cuba Organic Production:
Enjoy the noon hour listening to Brian Snyder’s keynote address about how Cuba adapted to organic production after modern Ag chemicals and fertilizers were no longer available to them.
